Railway reservations takes number of decisions that has to be filled in the form when you used to book a ticket at the ticket counter. 

Waiting is just not done and it is not liked by all. First fill the form , then wait in the line for our turn to come and then book a ticket at the counter. But this was few years ago. Now the times have changed. The technology also made things easier. The bookings were made online with a personal user name and password. 

 

The online tickets were then printed and produced in front of the TC when he asked for. 

 

With the changes in the latest technology , people started using mobiles and with the latest applications you can do a lot of work online. With just a click or just a touch of the finger tip , the apps made a huge change in the lives.

 

 

A newly introduced application for Windows 8 users, is the IRCTC app that will book your tickets on mobile itself. 

This app has been launched for all Windows 8 Phones. 

 

 

 

 

IRCTC - Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation has launched this app which will : 

• Make train enquiries
• Plan your travel
• Reserve your tickets
• Check PNR status
• Check ticket and seat availability

 There is no difference in the booking tickets timings as as earlier, the bookings of e-tickets will not be made between 8 am - noon and 11.30 pm - 12.30 am. 


This mobile app is designed in collaboration with Microsoft.
